Abstract

Bullying di kalangan remaja seringkali memengaruhi kekhawatiran yang signifikan dan berdampak pada kesejahteraan mental dan emosional siswa. Dalam situasi ini, self-esteem memainkan peranan penting dalam membantu remaja mengatasi dampak tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran self-esteem sebagai mediator dalam hubungan antara dukungan sosial dan bullying. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan model analisis jalur (path analysis). Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X dan XI di salah satu SMK yang ada di Kabupaten Madiun. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 114 siswa. Teknik sampling yang dipakai adalah stratified cluster random sampling. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial tidak berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap bullying, tetapi berpengaruh secara tidak langsung melalui self-esteem. Self-esteem terbukti menjadi mediator signifikan dalam hubungan tersebut, dengan pengaruh dukungan sosial terhadap bullying sebesar 14,1%. Implikasi hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penguatan self-esteem melalui dukungan sosial dari keluarga, teman sebaya, dan guru dapat menjadi strategi efektif dalam mencegah perilaku bullying di lingkungan sekolah.
