Guidelines for Writing

Signs for Mu'allim Journal, Faculty of Islamic Religion, Yudharta Pasuruan University

Research articles and conceptual ideas will be considered for publication in the Mu'allim Journal with the following criteria:

Articles written in Indonesian or English, 14-20 A4 pages, spacing 1.5, margin each 1.5 cm and typed in Arial font, size 12 points.

Writing articles systematically follows the following conditions:

Title (no more than 12 words for those using Indonesian and 10 words for those in English).

Author's name (without academic degree).

Author's institution name is accompanied by correspondence and e-mail address.

Abstracts are written in English, which contain the main issues, research objectives, methods / approaches and research results. Abstract is written in one paragraph, maximum length is 200 words (Arial font, point 12, space 1, and italics)

. Key words in English are 3-5 words. saltond font, 12 points, 1 space, italicized

Introduction includes the background of a problem and the urgency of the research, research objectives and problem-solving plans, relevant literature reviews and / or hypothesis development, with citations using afootnote  turabian style. (Arial font size 12 points, space 1, regular)

 

  1. Introduction.

(Arial font, size 12 point, space 1.5, bold).

 

Introduction includes the background to a problem and the urgency of the research, research objectives and problem solving plans, review of relevant literature and or hypothesis development, with citations using afootnote model  turabian style. (Arial font size 12 point, space 1, regular)

 

  1. Theory Study.

The literature review describes theories related to discussions on themes and as a reference in analyzing research findings.

 

  1. Method / Method.

The research method includes the type of research, research design, scope or object, time and place of research, data collection techniques, and analysis techniques.

 

 

  1. Results And Discussion / Result And Discussion.

This section presents the research results and can be completed with tables, graphs (pictures), and / or charts. The discussion section describes the results of data processing, interpret the findings logically, associate with relevant reference sources.

Discussions usually begin with a statement of findings (not repeated if results and discussion are combined). For example: from the results of research / hypothesis testing that has been done, it is found. Results and discussion include: (1) (What / How) whether the data presented has been

processed (not raw data), can be explained in the form of tables or figures, and is given easy-to-understand information? What are the findings? (2) (Why) in the discussion section, there is a link between the results obtained and the basic concept and / or hypothesis? The scientific aspect is here. (3) (What else) is there a conformity or contradiction with other people's research results? (4) it is also suggested to write about the implications of both theoretical and applied research results?

  1. Conclusion.

The conclusion contains a brief summary of the results of the study and discussion. Conclusions include: 1) The conclusion must answer the research objective or hypothesis. 2) The conclusion must describe the innovation or improvement of existing science. 3) Conclusions should be written briefly and clearly. Usually contains one paragraph of conclusion and / or one paragraph of implication or practical application (if any). 4) Do not repeat abstract, 5) Do not use bullets / numbering, if forced to exist in paragraph form.

  1. Bibliography / references.

Bibliography includes:

1) Reference / cite the main libraries that are read.

2) If possible, the ratio between the number of primary reference sources and the number of secondary reference sources should be more than 80%.

3) Which includes primary reference sources, among others: articles in scientific journals, articles in books based on research results, historical sites, artifacts, etc. that are original works.

4) Bibliography. Reference should be the scientific publication of the last 10 years (unless it is inevitable in certain fields of science). It is recommended that the writing of the manuscripts and the citations referred to in this script use Mendeley and Zotero's reference manager applications. It is also suggested to refer to articles that have been published in Mu'allim Journal: Islamic Education Scientific Journal.
