Jurnal al-Murabbi: Journal of Islamic Education (ISSN  2477-8338) and (E-ISSN 2548-1371) is an international-oriented, peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Islamic Education Study Program, Faculty of Islamic Religion, Universitas Yudharta Pasuruan, Indonesia. The journal is published biannually in June and December, and provides an academic platform for the dissemination of high-quality research and scholarly discussions in the field of Islamic education studies.

Since its establishment, Al-Murabbi has consistently contributed to the development of Islamic education scholarship by publishing original research articles, conceptual papers, and critical reviews addressing contemporary and global issues in Islamic education. The journal covers a wide range of topics, including but not limited to Islamic educational philosophy, curriculum and learning innovation, pedagogy, educational leadership, digital and multicultural Islamic education, teacher professionalism, and socio-cultural studies in Islamic education.

As part of its commitment to academic integrity and international publishing standards, Al-Murabbi has been a CrossRef member since 2016, ensuring that all published articles are assigned Digital Object Identifiers (DOI) to enhance citation tracking, accessibility, and long-term preservation.

In recognition of its quality and academic impact, Al-Murabbi: Journal of Islamic Education is currently accredited as a National Journal at Level 3 (SINTA 3) by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, based on the Decree of the Director of Research and Community Service Number 0110/C3/DT.05.00/2026 (2026). This accreditation reflects the journal’s continuous improvement in editorial management, publication ethics, and scholarly contribution at both national and international levels.

Al-Murabbi welcomes submissions from international and national scholars, researchers, and practitioners, and encourages interdisciplinary and comparative perspectives to enrich the global discourse on Islamic education.

|Focus and Scope|

Jurnal al-Murabbi: Journal of Islamic Education focuses on advancing scholarly discourse and empirical research in the field of Islamic Education (Pendidikan Agama Islam/PAI). The journal publishes original research articles, conceptual papers, and critical studies that examine learning processes, learning outcomes, educational practices, and theoretical frameworks within the context of Islamic education across formal, non-formal, and informal educational settings.

The journal encourages interdisciplinary, comparative, and contextual approaches that respond to contemporary educational challenges, global dynamics, and socio-cultural transformations affecting Islamic education. Contributions may address classical, modern, and digital perspectives of Islamic education, both at national and international levels.

|Peer Review Process|

Research articles or Manuscripts submitted to Jurnal al-Murabbi: Journal Pendidikan Agama Islam are initially reviewed by the editors for general fit with the Jurnal al-Murabbi focus and scope and for the writing quality. Only those research articles meeting the Jurnal al-Murabbi focus and scope will be sent to reviewers for a double-blind review. Review time is typically 4-6 months. Two reviewers will be assigned to evaluate the research articles or manuscripts on the basis of their expertise. Reviewers are expected to return their reviews within 4 weeks. A third reviewer will be appointed in case one of the reviewers disagrees with the quality of the research article for publication. The assigned reviewers evaluate the research articles by using a standard manuscript evaluation form. They are required to treat all the information in the research articles as confidential. Views of the assigned reviewers serve as a guide to al Murabbi editors to make a final decision on the research articles. The final decision always belongs to Journal almurabbi editors. Those manuscripts that are judged by the editors and assigned editors to be inappropriate are rejected promptly without external reviews.
The editors then make a decision based on the reviewers' advice, from among several possibilities:

|Accept with major revisions (the second round of review will be necessary)|
|Reject (the paper is not suitable for publication)|
