Abstract

This research is motivated by the content of the Qur'an which contains six things including: Aqidah, Worship, Morals, Law, History, and Science. Among the contents and content in the Qur'an this time the author wants to narrow down the subject of Aqidah and Worship as stated in the letter Al-Baqarah verse 177, where the verse contains the contents of the nature of goodness in general as well as other goodness. This research is a library research. The data in this study are sourced from library materials consisting of: 1) primary data, namely the Qur'an, 2) secondary data in the form of books of interpretation and related books and journals. faith and worship. The data collection technique used by the author requires notes and information related to the title. Furthermore, using the steps of the tahlili method and the most important thing is about Qs Al-Baqarah verse 177, translation and interpretation of the interpretation of the scholars of the Qur'an, and taken from books, journals, related articles. After researching from Qs Al-Baqarah verse 177, it is concluded that the general goodness contained in the verse is faith in Allah, then the fruit of faith in Allah will produce good deeds or goodness, goodness and good deeds are divided into two namely individual goodness. and social goodness. Individual goodness listed in the letter is in the form of faith in God, angels and prophets of God, establishing prayer, issuing zakat, as well as faith in destiny and the provisions of God's provisions. While the social goodness stated in the verse includes: giving alms, helping and loving orphans, the poor and beggars as well as doing good to family, close neighbors. Then when all forms of goodness are fulfilled, a righteous and pious person will be created.
