KONSTRUKSI PERDAMAIAN ANTAR UMAT BERAGAMA DI DESA SUMBEREJO PANDAAN

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze: 1) the construction of peace between religious communities in sumberejo pandaan, 2) the supporting and inhibiting factors for the construction of inter-religious peace in sumberejo pandaan. This research uses qualitative research with a phenomenological approach. The results of this study indicate that: The peace construction process in Sumberejo Village is built by components: 1) Effective channel of communication such as: silaturrahim, Eid al-Fitr celebrations, Christmas, Mauludan traditions, social gathering, community service, and farming. 2) Effective system of arbitration such as: night patrol activities. 3) Integrative climate such as: PKK, Karang Taruna, Arisan, night patrols. 4) Critical mass of peace enhancing leadership such as: Ustad and Pastors who will have a positive impact on society. 5) Just structure such as: justice in giving sanctions or services. The supporting factors for the occurrence of inter-religious peace are historical factors, religious factors, economic factors, educational factors, cultural factors, the role of religious leaders. The inhibiting factors for the occurrence of tolerance between religious communities are stereotypes, mutual suspicion, shallow religious knowledge, lack of understanding of the importance of living in harmony in society, humiliation of other groups, dislike of religious practices and less active village officials.
