PESANTREN NGALAH EDUCATION SYSTEM IN RESPONDING TO PLURAL SOCIETY IN PASURUAN
Pesantren as a culture broker becomes important, not only as a guide to social change, but more than that, as a creator who is able to provide feedback on change and produce modern religious individuals. Based on that, the author wants to know more about the education system of Ngalah Sengonagung Purwosari Pasuruan boarding school in response to social change. The type used in this research is qualitative type with case study approach. Data collection techniques in this research are by interview, observation, and documentation. Meanwhile, data analysis in this study by organizing and classifying data into patterns, categories, and units of basic description so that themes can be found and formulated work ideas. The education system implemented in Pesantren Ngalah as an effort to address social change is maximizing the three functions of the institution: a. as a teaching and education institution, b. as a service institution, community direction and guidance, and c. as a struggle institution.
