Increasing competition in the digital printing industry of Padang and Bukittinggi has made innovation essential for maintaining business sustainability and competitive advantage. However, limited absorptive capacity and entrepreneurial orientation prevent many firms from developing effective innovations in products, services, and operational processes. This study analyzes the effects of absorptive capacity and entrepreneurial orientation on innovation performance among digital printing enterprises using a quantitative approach. Data collected through questionnaires were analyzed using multiple linear regression in SPSS to evaluate both partial and simultaneous relationships between variables. The study reveals that superior innovation performance is shaped not only by internal resources but also by an organization’s ability to capture and transform external knowledge into valuable opportunities. Absorptive capacity enables firms to convert new information into meaningful innovations, while entrepreneurial orientation provides the strategic momentum to explore opportunities, embrace uncertainty, and pursue novel approaches. The interaction between these two capabilities creates a stronger innovation foundation, allowing organizations to remain adaptive and competitive amid continuous market transformation.
