KONSEP MARHAMAH DALAM SURAT AL-BALAD (Perbandingan Penafsiran Hamka dan Hasbi Ash-Shiddieqiy)
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to formulate the interpretation of Hamka and Muhammad Hasbi Ash-Shiddieqy about the concept of marhamah as well as to find out the similarities and differences about the concept of marhamah in surah al-balad according to both. This study uses a qualitative approach, namely showing the interpretation of Hamka in the interpretation of Al-Azhar and Muhammad Hasbi Ash-Shiddieqy in the interpretation of An-Nuur. While the method used is a comparative method, which is to compare the interpretations of Hamka and Muhammad Hasbi Ash-Shiddieqy and the two books of interpretation. The concept of marhamah (love) in Surah al Balad verse 17, Hamka interprets "not looking for praise and riya'". Meanwhile, according to Hasbi interpreted by him with the interpretation "humans should classify themselves into the group of people who believe correctly" meaning loving one another must be based on faith because it is a condition for receiving good deeds. Similarities The two commentators on the concept of marhamah say that the concept of marhamah which is dzahir charity (visible charity) must be based on inner charity (invisible charity) such as faith, not seeking popularity and riya'. While the difference is that according to Hamka the concept of marhamah must be based on a clean heart by not seeking praise and avoiding the nature of riya'. Meanwhile, according to Hasbi, the concept of marhamah must be based on faith. The results of this study are expected to be a contribution to the treasures of knowledge and information materials as well as input for the academic community and all parties who need it.
