ANALISIS PEMBELAJARAN TA’LIMUL MUTA’ALIM DALAM MENGUATKAN PENDIDIKAN KARAKTER SISWA

This study aims to analyze the implementation of Ta’limul Muta’alim learning in strengthening character education among students at SMK Negeri Darul Ulum Muncar. The challenge of character education in vocational schools generally lies in the dominance of technical aspects, while moral and affective dimensions are not optimally integrated. Imam Az-Zarnuji’s Ta’limul Muta’alim is considered relevant as it emphasizes learning ethics, discipline, responsibility, and respect for teachers, in line with Thomas Lickona’s theory of character education (moral knowing, moral feeling, moral action). The research employed a qualitative case study approach with subjects including teachers, school administrators, and grade XI students. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, and analyzed using Miles and Huberman’s interactive model with source and technique triangulation. The findings indicate that Ta’limul Muta’alim is systematically integrated through planning, implementation, and evaluation. Planning is based on lesson plans emphasizing ethical values, implementation is carried out through daily habituation and teacher role-modeling, while evaluation is holistic, covering cognitive, affective, and behavioral aspects. These findings show that Ta’limul Muta’alim has the potential to foster positive student attitudes, particularly in discipline, honesty, responsibility, and respect for teachers. The study acknowledges limitations in terms of the small sample size and the single-school context. Therefore, further research with broader coverage and diverse settings is recommended to strengthen and generalize these findings.
