The article title in Indonesian must be written specifically and effectively, consisting of no more than 12 words, while the English title should not exceed 10 words. The title must be informative, concise, and reflect the overall content of the article. The title is written in Garamond 14 pt, bold.
The authors’ names are written without academic titles, not abbreviated, using Garamond 12 pt and bold. If there is more than one author, the names should be listed in descending order according to their contribution. Each author must include their institutional affiliation and email address.
Institutional affiliation and email address are written in Garamond 10 pt, single spacing, starting from the first author.
ABSTRACT AND KEYWORDS The abstract is a substantive summary that reflects the entire content of the manuscript in a concise, clear, accurate, and academic manner. To meet the standards of nationally reputable journals (SINTA 1), the article must provide abstracts in two languages, namely Indonesian and English.
The abstract must be written in a single unified paragraph (not in bullet points), with a maximum length of 250 words, using Garamond 10 pt. The abstract should be systematically structured with a logical flow reflecting the IMRAD framework and include the following elements: (1) background of the problem that emphasizes the scholarly context, urgency of the issue, and the position of the study within Islamic Religious Education studies; (2) research objectives or the main focus of the study stated explicitly; (3) research methods, including research approach and type, subjects or data sources, data collection techniques, and main analytical techniques; (4) key results and findings that are specific, measurable, and demonstrate scholarly contribution; (5) theoretical and/or practical implications of the findings for the development of knowledge, policy, or practice in Islamic Religious Education.
The abstract must not contain citations, footnotes, tables, figures, or bibliographic references. The language used should be academic, communicative, and free from uncommon abbreviations.
Keywords consist of a maximum of five main conceptual words or phrases that represent the substance of the article. Keywords are separated by semicolons (;), arranged from general to specific concepts, and reflect standardized terminology in the field of Islamic Religious Education.
ARTICLE STRUCTURE Subheadings are written in uppercase letters, Garamond 12 pt, bold, without numbering.
INTRODUCTION The introduction is written in an argumentative and analytical manner to guide readers toward the focus of the research. This section comprises approximately 15–20% of the total article length and must include the following elements in an integrated manner without subheadings:
First, a presentation of the research context and background explaining factual conditions, empirical phenomena, or conceptual issues in the field of Islamic Religious Education that form the basis of the study.
Second, an explanation of the urgency and significance of the research, both theoretically and practically, by demonstrating the existing research gap that has not been adequately addressed by previous studies.
Third, a critical literature review of relevant studies (state of the art), particularly from reputable national and international journals published within the last ten years. This review should not merely summarize previous studies, but critically analyze and position the author’s research among existing works.
Fourth, a clear, specific, and operational formulation of the research objectives and/or research questions. Where appropriate, implicit research hypotheses may be included.
The introduction must demonstrate a logical progression from general issues to the specific research focus and clearly emphasize the scholarly contribution (novelty) of the article.
RESEARCH METHODS The research methods section is presented descriptively and analytically in narrative paragraphs and comprises approximately 10–15% of the total article length. The methods must be written in sufficient detail, systematically, and in a manner that allows replication by other researchers.
At a minimum, the research methods should include: (1) type and research approach (qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods, library research, case study, ethnography, and others); (2) research location and time frame (for field research); (3) research subjects and/or objects along with their characteristics; (4) data collection techniques and procedures, such as observation, interviews, questionnaires, documentation, or textual analysis; (5) research instruments used, including instrument validity and reliability (where relevant); (6) data analysis techniques, whether statistical analysis, thematic analysis, discourse analysis, or other analytical approaches appropriate to the research design.
The methodological explanation must demonstrate coherence between research objectives, data collection techniques, and analytical strategies employed.
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION The results and discussion section constitutes the core of the scientific article and must demonstrate a high level of academic analysis in accordance with SINTA 1 standards. This section accounts for approximately 40–50% of the total article length and should be structured in a coherent, systematic, and argumentative manner.
Research results are presented based on the research objectives or problem formulations. The presentation of results must be objective, factual, and systematic, whether in the form of descriptive narratives, tables, or figures. Each table or figure must be provided with a title and source and be adequately explained within the text.
The discussion is conducted by critically analyzing and interpreting the research findings. It should include: (1) critical interpretation of findings using relevant theoretical frameworks; (2) scholarly dialogue between the study’s findings and previous research (comparison and contrast); (3) explanation of the contribution of the findings to the development of theory, concepts, or practices in Islamic Religious Education; (4) affirmation of the novelty and scholarly significance of the research findings; (5) implications of the findings for policy development, educational practice, or future research.
The discussion must not merely restate the results, but should demonstrate theoretical synthesis and reflective analysis that reveal the depth of the author’s scholarly argumentation.
CONCLUSIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS The conclusions are presented in narrative paragraph form, summarizing the main research findings concisely and substantively. The conclusions must address the research objectives and/or questions and reaffirm the scholarly contribution of the article.
Recommendations or suggestions are presented proportionally based on the research findings, whether for theoretical development, Islamic Religious Education practices, educational policy, or further research. Recommendations should be specific, applicable, and evidence-based rather than general or normative.
This section must not contain new data, tables, or bibliographic citations.
CITATION SYSTEM AND REFERENCES All sources cited in the article must be referenced using footnotes consistently in accordance with the Turabian style. Every direct or indirect quotation must be accompanied by a clear, accurate, and traceable source reference.
The reference list includes only sources that are actually cited in the article and is arranged alphabetically by the authors’ last names. References must meet the following criteria: (1) at least 80% must be primary sources in the form of articles from reputable national and/or international scientific journals; (2) the majority of references must be published within the last ten years; (3) references are prioritized from journals indexed in SINTA, Scopus, or Web of Science; (4) each journal article is strongly encouraged to include a DOI or the official publisher’s URL.
The reference list is written using Garamond 12 pt, single spacing, with a 0.25-inch hanging indent, and must strictly follow the Turabian Style guidelines.
The use of reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote is strongly recommended to ensure citation consistency, minimize referencing errors, and enhance the professionalism of the scholarly article.
