Statement of Publication

"TEKNOLOGI PANGAN : Media informasi dan komunikasi ilmiah teknologi pertanian" is a national journal that collaborates with Bestari which is published twice a year both printed and online by Department Food Science and Technology, Agriculture Faculty, Yudharta University. This statement explains the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the publishing process including the author, Editorial Board, and Publisher.

Publishing Ethics Guide

Publishing articles of “TEKNOLOGI PANGAN : Media Informasi dan Komunikasi Ilmiah Teknologi Pertanian” is a very important process in developing coherent and respectful knowledge. This is a direct reflection of the quality of work and institutional writers who support researchers. The article reviewed contains and supports scientific methodology. Therefore, it is important to agree on the expected standard of ethical behavior for all parties involved in the publishing process including authors, chief editor, editorial boards, section editors, and publisher.

Department Food Science and Technology, Agriculture Faculty, Yudharta University, as the publisher of the “TEKNOLOGI PANGAN : Media Informasi dan Komunikasi Ilmiah Teknologi Pertanian”, is responsible for overseeing all stages of publishing seriously and recognizing ethical responsibility and other responsibilities. Institutions ensure that every advertisement and other commercial income does not have an impact or influence on editorial decisions. In addition, it also helps to communicate with other journal publishers if it is useful and necessary.

Decision

Editors are responsible for deciding which articles to submit must be published. Validation of these works and their importance to the writer and the reader must support that decision. The editors are guided by the journal editorial policy and are limited by laws which include defamation, copyright, and plagiarism. Editors can discuss with other editors or assessment teams to decide on policies.

Confidentiality

Expert editors and executive editors are prohibited from disclosing any information related to the manuscript sent to anyone other than to the author himself, senior editor, best partner, and publisher.

Conflict of Interest

All unpublished content written in the text is prohibited to be used in the editor's own research without confirmation from the author.

Speed

Each selected appraiser who does not feel qualified to assess a study published in a text or knows that the assessment takes longer, so he must notify the editors and withdraw himself from the assessment process.

Objectivity

Assessment must be done objectively. Personal criticism of the author is not justified. Assessors must express their views clearly using supporting arguments.

Recognition

The assessor must identify the relevant articles that have not been quoted by the author. Any statements of observation, derivation, or arguments that have been previously reported must be accompanied by relevant citations. The assessor must also ask the editor to pay attention to the similarities or overlaps between the texts that have been assessed and published.

Originality and Plagiarism

Authors must ensure that they have written their original articles, besides, they must quote correctly if they take other people's articles or words.

Malpractice Ethics

In general, an author is not allowed to have the same publication that has a similar research focus in more than one journal.
